Invitation to the Workshop “1.5 Million Feddans for Life”

Considering the efforts of the Egyptian government for the development of the country’s economy and security, the project of “1.5 Million Feddans” has emerged as one of Egypt’s most important initiatives. Compounding on this initiative, and in light of our expertise in sustainable land reclamation, Heliopolis University is organizing a workshop entitled “1.5 Million Feddans for Life” under the Patronage of his Excellency, Minister of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Salah El Din Helal

In this workshop, top experts and officials from around Egypt will discuss the potential recommendations and suggestions for the “1.5 Million Feddans” project.

We would like to announce as well that SEKEM was selected by the united nation convention to combating desertification (UNCCD) to be the winner of the 2015 Land for Life Award for its true influence in combating land degradation and for its contribution to sustainable land management and human development.

You are cordially invited to participate in the workshop that will be held on the 1st of September 2015 at the headquarter of Heliopolis University for sustainable Development.
